River Remembers was composed with a curiosity for the altered states that can occur through deep listening. The full album, prefaced by the EP Little Piano Pieces, forms an intentional musical arc over an hour's duration. The music is built upon some of the principles emerging from music-assisted psychedelic psychotherapy. In live performance, it can involve a string trio, a women’s choir, piano, glockenspiel, percussion and Moog.
